  1. Cartels take as many of their dead as possible, to lower enemy moral. They also collect dead then dump them on an enemy plaza to heat it up. The gov fudge the numbers to hide it. The disappeared aren't counted as dead even after decades, again, to hide it. Loads of weapons from Ukraine are now there. Wagner are there and wanting to get in there propper. Enemy spies, saboteurs and assets are piling across the border as well as under it. The cartels, the Mex gov and US gov, all want it to be hiden. Well done for bringing attention. The ordinary Mex citizens are on their knees, esp the poor. The cartels build schools, roads and hospitals (hearts and minds), Tyne Mex Gov do nothing for them. There is a real class problem too. The poor are expendable, esp the indigenous peoples. The gov use the cartels to steal their land by having them all killed. It is THE PURGE. A true narco state.

  2. All police work for a cartel. They have no choice. Every government institution is bribed by someone. Cartel members dress like them often either to just impersonate them or ride along with the police on missions too & police dressing like cartel to do killings on the side for them. Same for the Feds, army, marines, national guard, every politician etc etc...everyone! It's so bad that even the president is always bought off, guns are illegal there, believe it or not! And if a member of the public naively went to the police (anywhere in Mexico to get help with a cartel, they will either kill you themselves, or visit you with cartel, so they know that they are helpless or the police take you to them. I've seen shootouts between government agencies. The 'drugs' they seize and burn are realy sold back. The Sinaloa cartel gave this knowledge to reporters and even told them the recipes for what is seen burning. The police are constantly looking for bribes and this causes them to get killed. They often get kidnapped and tortured and killed by the cartel they work for's enemies. The purge! You can never look at ANYTHING in Mexico through the lense of another countries' norms. Everyone does it, naturally, but it is a baffling system to outsiders. But somehow, the sky doesn't fall and the world keeps turning. Death and disappearance are a very real and common prospect for everyone, especially the vulnerable, each and every day. It is a war with probably a hundred factions...maybee more!

  3. Nothing is ever as it seems in Mexico. Eg., the National Guard is 'owned' by Mayo's faction of Sinaloa. The report is BS. If a comondante take bribes from 2 cartels, he will die. If a cop plays 2 sides, his comrades will kill him. If he refuses to be corrupt, he dies. EVERYONE is bribed or dead...EVERYONE. A lot of tbe time some army units will refuse to leave their barracks unless they are paid a certain amount, by a cartel. They will work for the highest bidder. They die..A LOT! Life is very cheap, esp since covid. Covid helped recruitment no end. The mafia were the only ones offering work. It's light years from being glamorous. They get a pittance. Money goes up into a few hands. Gov big wigs make the most. Presidents have 6 years to get as much money as poss, then leave the country.

  4. Chapo was never the leader of the now fractured Sinaloa Cartel. He was boss of his faction, but not the boss of bosses. That was El Mayo. He's been smuggling since prohibition, has never seen the inside of a cell, is in his 70s and is a multi billionaire (nobody knows how much her actually is worth but it eas estimated that the cartel was employing over 100,000 people; not all criminals. He owns a lot of legit businesses. Chapo was a cut out, chosen for his love of the limelight. Mayo is VERY low key.
