If mad, how so organised? The army didnt enter Rome, before the dictato's and were mostly abroad anyway. Doesn't add up. Byzantine blind is worse than decimation, which the romans hardly used because it was too much. Elizebethan England was jist as cruel. The whole ancient world was cruel as hell. The romans just were very organised about it and look cool as hell! Hence all the films about them. Most of it is hyperbalie anyway and the people cheered the death of CRIMINALS who they feared and would do horrible things to them, given the chance. Every generation judges the past unjustly, it makes them feel ok about their own violence. Look at today's cruelty and weaponry. Be more objective. You're not click bait, I expect more.
