  1. It’s just spinning off the old “pay with lay-a-way” or Rent-A-Center model, but they’re pushing us to use it for cheaper stuff that we should be able to pay for outright. (I only use this for the occasional Reverb purchase (they take Affirm which offers up to 12-month plans) and I make sure to just pay it down as soon as I get my paycheck, clearing something off completely (or even early) is quite satisfying.) Paypal pay in 4 is useful for some things, but again make sure you pay it back.
