  1. My cousin’s husband works for Verizon Fios. He recommended we never use it. 😂 There’s a few kindss of broadband, the best is Fiber to the premises, that fiber optic cable goes into your house and gets converted into copper cables. The less desirable, but the cheaper for the providers is fiber to the local distribution box. So somewhere in your area is a box with the fiber going into it, but then copper wires going out to you and your neighbors. Now if you’re in the middle of nowhere, the distance to that distribution box could be pretty far.
