Never really bought from either brand as I thought the prices were too high for my budget, or that it was too popular (never a fan of wearing a prominent brand logo like I’m an athlete or a race car driver). I do think they found their own way to help the planet, albeit on different paths, and they remained friends for a long time. Not sure if Zappos footwear web-superstore is available in Canada, but I noticed their search filter for Features now includes “sustainably certified”, which is a nice change, though the options available are limited right now.
