  1. I think the problem is, communism fell, and Cold War ended, but both sides kept their massive nuclear arsenals... Why? If we were supposed to be friends, why keep thousands of warheads pointed at each other? If both the US (“the west”) and Russia truly want peace, serious discussions of disarmament must be a priority. Friends don’t hold guns to each other’s heads.

  2.  @ExpatZ266  I'm sure our government will claim having the same trust issues with Russia. We were allies to take out Hitler... So it's not like we've never been able to work with each other.
