  3. Actually a lot of technological leaps have come from this sort of research in the past. In fact current research into quantum physics is giving us new quantum computers, which will make current computers look like an old horseless carriage VS a flying car.

  4.  @Daniel-jc1wd  infrastructure funding, it the lack thereof, is all on lack of bipartisan politics. It is no longer about what's good for you and me, and instead it's "well the other party wrote this bill, we won't vote for it." (meanwhile these same people had 4 years in power 2 of them in full control of both houses of congress and not even one bill to address infrastructure that whole time!)
