A lot of people are not educated about what to do in a tsunami, the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami killed so many because tourists didn’t realize the water retreating away from the beach (sometimes for almost a mile) meant danger was coming (if the ocean acts weird, move away from the ocean and find high ground.)
