  1. As an American it seems so strange to hear that a politician is doing a public event without any official security or a hired bodyguard of some sort (then again maybe MPs aren’t paid that much, US Congress get a 6 figure annual salary (higher for the Senate).)

  2.  @cooldude4643  right, we also had that time Rep Gabby Giffords was shot in the head during a public event in a parking lot, and it’s amazing she survived, though it ended her career. Her husband, founder astronaut Mark Kelly, is now a Senator.

  4.  Tell it how it is  “good” can be a relative thing, To politicians the “bad” ones are the ones that get caught or lose public support and their seats.
