  1.  @Geedeesa an agreement to cede territory back to a host nation is much different than capitulating to an aggressive neighbor that launched a war to invade and take your land. Imagine if Canada decided that Acadians in Maine were “Canadian” and invaded Maine to “save” them. Should we just give Maine to Canada?

  4.  @AthelstanEngland it does say something though that the Russians living in Ukraine were very happy to NOT live under the thumb of Putin and the FSB.

  6. @ as part of a post war treaty though. Plus we paid them for the southern parts of Arizona and New Mexico to get a better route for a railroad.
