Well if someone didn’t decide to divide our attention by invading another country in 2003, we might have left Afghanistan a long time ago, and probably with a better footing to form a decent government. As for preventing the place from being a haven for terrorists... yeah, they all moved into Pakistan.

  5.  @poopdownthedrain3819  fun fact, the Afghanistan campaign was almost called "Operation Infinite Justice" until someone pointed out that would sound like we were playing god, as many in that region believe only god could be an infinite judge. We also almost called the Iraq invasion "Operation Iraqi Liberty" until they realized that acronym was a bit too obvious.
