  1. A shocking number of documents, actually you can access it with special permission (though they won’t just let anyone in, usually you have to be there for scholarly research). Note: as of right now the latest Papal documents available are from 1958, while the latest documents from Cardinals available are from 1922. Everything else is sealed either due to organizing and restoration work being done by the archivists, or due to a rule that Papal documents must be sealed for decades upon the death of a Pope (even the archivists cannot open them).
