If you’re only looking at antibodies, sure they fade, since if you had every antibody you ever had in your bloodstream, it would have the consistency of wet cement, but a UK study found that the Memory B cells in bone marrow did remember COVID. I had a really early case of COVID, just got the vaccine because of all this “there might not be natural immunity” stuff meaning I’d have to be constantly tested to keep my job, so what happens after I get the vaccine… next morning I wake up feeling like I did when I had COVID, minus the cough. This tells me my immune system remembered COVID and was not happy to see a piece of it again! This was about 20 months later too… granted I’m a pretty healthy person (or at least I was until COVID knocked me over…. How about we find a cure for “long” COVID?) so if you have immune system issues your mileage my vary, talk to your doctor.
