The Anthology 3 CD has a track on it where they mention that “fake name” isn’t there for the very last studio session to finish the last Beatles album, and it’s John that’s missing from the studio, George, Paul and Ringo are doing their best without him. Of course the very first one to try to leave was Ringo, because he felt unappreciated and didn’t like the “Get Back” film/album sessions in the big old and freezing cold airplane hanger that was making everyone pissed off, and it wasn’t until the other 3 sent him lots of flowers and apologized that he agreed to return, and they moved the filming and sessions into the basement at Apple Records.
