  1. It’s one thing to invade your neighbors over a land border. It’s a whole other thing to invade across the water. The United States needs to officially recognize Taiwan as a nation and back them militarily (China invades, America declares war), this will make almost the entire rest of the world follow along, so what can China do if everyone drops the “One China” policy? Go full isolationist and tank their economy?
