  1. Raw chocolate is extremely bitter (if you’ve ever tasted 100% dark chocolate, the raw version is much worse). In Central American indigenous cultures raw cocoa was mixed with vanilla, chili and cinnamon to make Xocolatl, possibly the first chocolate beverage, but even with the added flavors, the bitter taste is front and center.

  2.  @gregsscubavids5128  vanilla was transplanted but it took a long time to figure out where to send them as the orchids are sensitive to a lot of things that can mess them up or kill the plant.
