  1. Why seek conflict? Putin and Russia would gain more by being friendly with the EU and NATO. If people in former Soviet states want to return to Russia that desperately, there’s plenty of land inside Russia, no need for bloodshed.

  3.  @DerDop  that only hurts the people, The ultra rich and Putin don’t care. And it’s not likely to cause the people to rebel and overthrow the government. In fact I think Putin”s party has more seats in the Duma than before. (Though that could be due to shady election practices, but again speak up about it and get labeled an extremist like Navalny).
