  2.  @benjones8977  most people will defend their deeply held beliefs no matter that the facts on the ground are against them, they’ll just dig in with even more and more explanations why the facts are “wrong” and they “know the real truth” no matter how nonsensical and illogical they look. It’s like trying to extract someone from a cult, but the cult leader (in Qs case it’s the echo chamber Internet) is in the room with them.
