  1. This case needs to pass a few tests: First: do the people trying to stop the forgiveness have “standing” to actually take this to the court. Just because the court accepted the case and is conducting hearings, doesn’t necessarily mean that the issue of standing is clear. (No standing, the case is dismissed). Second: if they do have standing, did they prove that either, a) this forgiveness is unconstitutional, b) that Congress could do forgiveness via legislation, but the executive branch cannot, or c) there is no constitutional way to offer forgiveness outside of the program to forgive loans for failed schools or institutions that scammed students.

  2. Those loans should be illegal as the interest rates are usury.
