  1. Perhaps actors must get gun safety training, so they can personally clear a weapon once it’s handed to them. Still I do not believe Alec Baldwin can be held criminally responsible, since clearing a weapon wasn’t his job. (I don’t believe any actors were charged after Brandon Lee’s death, though that wasn’t live ammo, it was the dummy round used for filming the gun being loaded came loose and jammed in the barrel, the barrel was not checked, and the blank round fired during the scene ejected the dummy round with lethal force.
