  1. Unfortunate that a man had to lose his life, but her actions were reckless (how do you fail to notice you are not holding a BRIGHT YELLOW taser? It’s that color for a reason, it’s on your non-dominant side for a reason too!)

  3.  @perskarva123  proper training can solve that, but most cops get the bare minimum. This isn’t the first incident where a cop confused a taser for a firearm, Oscar Grant on the Oakland,CA BART, and it resulted in an involuntary manslaughter conviction too. Apparently the taser is half the weight of a .40 cal (what the BART cops use) and the grip feels different.

  4. Everyone has a brain fart, but it’s not likely to result in someone getting killed. And even a taser can kill sometimes (you never know if someone has heart issues, or they can fall and hit their head.)

  5.  @continentalgin  actually during the trial, a supervisor pointed out, it’s really not a good idea to taser a person behind the wheel of a car, and so it’s not allowed by the guidelines.
