  1. Libya is Iraq after Saddam 2.0, but without foreign troops trying to keep the mess under control. You pull the cork off the bottle and don’t realize what the cork was holding back until it’s too late.

  2.  @woozyz2769  yes we overstayed trying to “nation build”. (Same in Afghanistan, though most of that was us trying to fight in two places at once, and Afghanistan became an afterthought.) There’s sadly just some places where democracy just won’t stick, no matter how hard you try.
