It’s likely like baseball/softball where a thrown or batted ball hits a player in the chest, there’s a microsecond window in the heartbeat (in the “T” section) where an impact do the chest will cause a cardiac arrest. That must’ve been a very hard hit at exactly the WRONG time for Hamlin. I hope the Bengals player is not blaming himself, as there was no way of knowing that tackle would cause this.
