Considering that other parts of the world have histories dating back thousands of years before anyone “found” the Western Hemisphere (unfortunately the native peoples who were here first didn’t have much in the way of recording their history), the USA is but a blip in the larger scope of history.

At the museum next to the USS Constitution in Boston they had an interesting take, nobody won that war, but the poor Native Americans definitely lost (by siding with the English... they really knew how to pick the wrong side (many joined the Confederacy later on!)

(Commodus was bad as Emperor, but the film made him almost Caligula with that whole thing with the sister… he was an excellent swordsman, and he was killed while fighting with a gladiator, though not in front of the entire Colosseum).
