If they actually put up and passed a bill that kept the government open for at least 2 years (the amount of time between House elections) this would be less of a problem… but no, now we just need the minority party to have a tantrum over the bill to continue funding and shut downs happen… Welcome to Minority Rule.

  2. No, unfortunately the last funding bill “dies” and can’t be used anymore, even if there’s no replacement in place.

  3. Congress is ALWAYS the first to make sure they get paid… and get raises (yes, they can vote for their own pay raises!) Meanwhile my boss claims we don’t have the budget to give me a raise or promotion unless the union gets a new contract… which will be signed by… 🤷‍♂️?
