  1. Every other nation had a nationwide plan to deal with this, the US federal government left it up to the states, so we had 50 different plans with limited regional cooperation. Once the “hotspots” managed to fend off the virus, the curve line went down like everywhere else, other areas threw open the doors under the false belief that “it’s over! Time to fix the economy.” And then the line went back up like a roller coaster.
