  1. I mean, GM had to prop them up by closing down Oldsmobile, which had also tried to shed their “old man car” image with cars like the Alero…. Did not help that they ran ads saying, “It’s not your dad’s Oldsmobile, which turned off a bunch of older fans of the company.
    2
