  2. LevelD1985 That’s partly true... there was also the “containment” policy towards communism that led to: Korean War, Vietnam War (they actually did have some oil, that’s why Japan invaded them in the 1940s) and a TON of questionable support for hard right dictators in Latin America.

  3. Main problem is, you can get around Europe or Japan fast because there’s a lot less distance between things. The US is big... 125 mph sounds fast until you realize the US is 2,500 miles or so across... So unless they can make a 1000mph train, air travel isn’t in trouble yet.
