Neil’s writing (outside of the band) is also astounding, and he pushed drumming to new levels (to the point that when Rush toured, they wanted the live shows to sound like the albums, so while Geddy and Alex had foot pedals to add in samples of various overdubs, and Geddy also used a foot pedal synth so he could have his hands free for the bass and sing (at the same time), Neil had to sit in the middle of a massive amount of percussion gear that rotated around him! Keith and John were brilliant drummers as well, but unfortunately became victims of alcohol addiction, fueled by the rock “lifestyle” (it’s been said that Keith wrecked hotel rooms, John wrecked people).

It was on Avenue P and East 3rd street, a few blocks away from the F train… It was torn down awhile ago, now it’s a 5 over 1 (commercial first floor, residential on top of it). Also the food they ordered for the hostages wasn’t pizza, it was burgers. I believe they changed Pacino’s character’s name from John to Sonny because the real John was still alive and couldn’t make money off of his story from prison.

That went into the next episode where Dr. Cox is refusing to return, not speaking to anyone, and is drinking heavily. Again it’s JD that gets him out of it, though in a funny way when JD tries to drink Dr. Cox’s whiskey, “You don’t drink whiskey.”

It’s a beautiful game that shows just how horrible war is, for everyone. Gameplay wise, you start off in an occupied country and slowly but surely liberate it, but the early missions are pretty much desperate times/measures. Oh, and (spoilers) the end of the game reveals the boy has been writing a letter to the player character.

  1291. The first computers I used as a kid used 5.25 floppy disks… old Texas Instruments machines at school. (At home we had a Commodore 64 with a tape drive.) Another thing kids today wouldn’t recognize, dot matrix printers, especially the sound they made.

  1292. Remember reading the band Lem were basically given a bunch of money to make a video for “Steal My Sunshine” with not too many strings attached, so they flew from Toronto to Florida during Spring Break, and then bought so many cases of beer and liquor it broke the elevator in their hotel.

Star Trek II: the Enterprise under Command of a new Lieutenant answers a distress call in the Klingon Neutral Zone, only to be attacked by several Klingon cruisers and seemly most of the main cast we know and love dies as the ship is disabled…. Cue Admiral Kirk off screen saying, “Alright, I’ve seen enough” and the viewscreen opens up slowly revealing this was all a bridge training simulation on no win scenarios, and the new Lieutenant did not do well.

  1299. In all fairness the Marvel short that follows Trever in prison does reveal that there IS a real Mandarin, and he was not happy with Trevor at all. (Also got to see a little cameo from Justin Hammer, who is always hilarious.

For much of Europe: Ask them, they definitely will point you in a good direction (and then argue over it). Ireland: Smithwicks. Was never a fan of beer with rice in it, hence one of many reasons I never liked Budweiser (the American one, I know there’s a different older Budweiser (Budvar) brewery in Czechia that successfully got the rights to use THEIR name in Europe, while the American brand has to call itself “American Bud.”)
