  1. Star Trek V could have been better (or even worse), Kirk was supposed to fight off some sort of “rock monster” on the “God” planet after Spock and McCoy were beamed up. Problems with the effects, or the budget running low caused the “rock monster” to be removed and more of the giant glowing “god” head shooting lasers from his eyes were added instead. (Both sequences apparently ended the same way in the film, with the Klingon ship’s wing guns being used).
