Lost did put an epilogue of sorts on the DVD that wrapped up a few of the weird parts, and saw Hurley and Ben pick up Walt to bring him back to the island, ostensibly to help the ghosts there move on? The “There is no John Connor” thing makes me think in this version of Terminator, John survived the war by jumping through time and he’d go on to become the legendary leader (note that the girl that’s there with Derek Reece is not Cameron, it’s Allison from Palmdale, since she has a dog with her, that means she hasn’t been kidnapped by Skynet yet.)
