  1. The Note 7 wasn’t faulty batteries, it was poor design. The original Note 7 design made it far enough along that they made battery packs for them, but then someone wanted the phones to be smaller. So they shaved space out of the battery compartment without redesigning the battery pack. While charging or running power hungry tasks the battery pack heats up and expands. Without the extra space the hot battery would experience thermal runaway and 💥
