(As the saying goes, speed doesn’t kill, the sudden stop does.) Senna died instantly from massive head trauma as his tire snapped off and hit him. At the speed this happened, that helmet was useless. Honestly that race weekend was extremely dangerous, and should have been stopped as many other drivers were badly injured.
