  2. They had a plan, but backlash to Episode 8 subverting expectations caused them to panic and turn episode 9 into safe fan-service only… aside from the weird reveal that Hux was spying for the resistance.

  3.  @daniellewis4154  I didn’t, I loved episode 8, though the casino planet could have been edited down so we can get Luke’s reaction to how Han died. Episode 9 was a mess because it tried to “fix” 8 and wedge in undead palpatine.
