If Decca did pick up the Beatles, they never would have met George Martin (he signed them to EMI after Decca rejected them, thanks to Brian Epstein), so they would have sounded different, as George Martin taught them so much about recording and about music theory, which they had no training in. I do agree, Elvis was not a good fit for that time period at the Grand Ole’ Opry… I’m not sure if he’d fit there in any time period!
