  1. I can guess it’s the fact that Jerry makes a lot money “just telling jokes” (of course there’s much more to it than that) while Newman has to “work” for a living. Or he’s jealous of Jerry and Kramer’s friendship.

  2.  @fromthehaven94  yep, that goes back a long way in television, the original Star Trek had several background actors and doubles portray a whole list of various crew personnel, sometimes even from one episode to the next you might notice the same guy went from working with Scotty in engineering to being a backup helmsman.
