  1. The lost gold being moved by the Army to a federal reserve… if you ever found it, you wouldn’t be allowed to keep it because that’s government property… that’s why the FBI was searching for it.

  2.  @van3158  Not sure, but they went after people that had those ultra rare Gold Double Eagle coins minted after FDR took us off the gold standard, and they became illegal to possess in the process. Actually the people were dumb enough to send the coins they found to the feds to ask if they were real or not. They lost in court when they tried to get the coins back.

  3.  @sijdnsd6460  that is a possibility, that someone did find it, was smart enough not to tell anyone and recast the gold to erase any telltale marks.
