Star Trek II: the Kobayashi Maru scenario, except we don’t know it’s just a training exercise until Admiral Kirk literally breaks the fourth wall of the bridge simulator to end it before it gets any worse. Plus it’s a great feint for the rumors that Spock would die, since in the scenario he does “die” along with most of the main cast.
