  2. No Cheap Trick at the Budokhan? U2 at Live Aid should also be mentioned because that set saved the band’s career, the 14 minute long “Bad” that saw Bono jumping off the stage to save a teenage girl from being crushed by the surging crowd. The Beatles at Shea Stadium was the FIRST concert of that size and scope… the sound system could not handle it at all, so most of the people just heard the screaming fans, not the band. I don’t think any of them cared (thankfully someone had the good idea to plug in a reel to reel tape machine to record the show.)
