We eventually got “smart” and moved the tests underground... but not before, Test Sedan: which asked the ridiculous question, “Can we use nukes for excavation?” One “worlds largest man-made crater” and a lot of radioactive material being thrown up into the atmosphere, “Well... we can... but it’s probably not something we want to do again.”

  4.  @ThePhantomSafetyPin  Starfish Prime, which also knocked power out in Hawaii because they didn't understand what an EMP is. There was also an attempt to use nukes in natural gas fracking... Project Gasbuggy.

Right, thanks to the new cover... but, where to put something THAT radioactive that won’t be mistakenly “found” by someone centuries later that might not know what it is or how dangerous it is (languages evolve over time, we’d need to put up warnings that blatantly obvious for future humans (or non-humans) that might not understand what this symbol: ☢️ means.

  7. Chernobyl did happen again, in Fukushima, Japan, except it was multiple reactors failing and releasing radiation. One even blew up on live tv!
