@massalleh5255 very much, Queen Victoria married Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha , which was changed to Windsor during Ww1, Even though Prince Philip was a Greek royal his family was the Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderberg-Glücksburgs! After losing their kingdom, they adapted the last name Battenburg, but changed to Mountbatten to sound less German also because of the war.

Right, but then her daughter never had an heir and the Crown went to Scottish Kings (Stuart) for a while... and then they had to invite over Germanic royals (Hanover) after they eventually had the same problem!

@seraphik right, so the closest thing left of Celtic Britons in modern times are the Welsh... And people from Brittany in France. I don't think the UK would accept anyone from these places as the "true heir" to the throne.
