  1. We last did nuclear drills in Junior High School (right around the time of the fall of the USSR). They’d make us shut all the shades over the windows, then bunker down in the hallways away from the classroom doors. We’d joke that we’d live because the walls and ceilings were covered in many layers of lead paint, and the floor tiles were made with asbestos fibers.
