If incomes matched cost of living these problems would be lessened… but wages keep falling behind cost of living, which is dumping many people who were “middle class” into the lower tiers, through no fault of their own. (For those that say ask for more pay or find a better job, you may find that asking for higher wages will upset your boss, and that better job many be unobtainable for reasons you cannot overcome.)
