  2. My job had to have a fire safety course on not using the popcorn button... because our budget woes meant we bought cheap microwaves. Several times people almost set their office kitchen on fire because they “set it, then forget it” and walked away... once, someone didn’t use the popcorn button... but hit an extra zero, not 2:00, but 20:00... sure enough the fire alarm went off... again.

  3. My entire office building needed to have a lecture from fire safety about not walking away from popcorn in the microwave because an unbelievable amount of people hit 2 HOURS instead of 2 minutes. 🔥

  4. Bought a “personal chiller” that really only works if we point it behind a tower fan as a booster, then it actually does cool the room... slightly.

  5. I have a small USB powered desk fan at work, it has a radio volume on/off style knob that does go from off to low, to high. If you turned it to low from off the fan does stall. Thankfully the blades are stiff fleece-like material, so you can give it a push and not lose a finger.

  6. Talking elevators are the norm in hotels and commercial buildings in many nations, some even have a “doors closing” message. Also, in the UK, Ireland and Australia the ground floor is sometimes called “Floor zero” and the 2nd floor is the “1st Floor.”

  7. I had the much less portable version of this as a kid, it even came with a black and orange monitor instead of the tiny LCD display, but it was pretty much the same layout .
