The issue with the 'AI Revolution' is that it will not remain 'a tool' & it is not like the steam engine & it is not like the transistor & it is not like the micro-chip. It is NOTHING LIKE anything else & to treat it like it is 'LIKE' everything else means you don't understand AI or the rate at which AI will advance & continue to change things. Its putting the rate & intensity of change of the last 250 years on a single dot on a micro-scale. By the time you think you're adjusting to the 'AI Revolution' it will advance another leap & there will be another & another right after & another right after. This is NOT like the Steam Engine or the micro-chip. Not even in the same universe. For a moment in time AI is a 'tool.' That window in time is closing quickly.

So lets see if I can understand this. 'AI tools freed up service desk staff so they could focus on MORE COMPLEX tasks?' I can't be the only person who's head that didn't fly right over? Thats an inversion of this entire 'argument.' Its like saying 'We used our cars to ferry people from the hotel to the airport so our HORSES would be free to focus on longer travel demands.' That makes ZERO sense.

@albraaj7942 There's a few combinations of the way this could play out but if you lay all aside & simply look at the main components this quickly becomes self-perpetuating which means AI mimicking & also challenging human protocols & systems. AI will quickly learn to co-opt living tissue, cells, DNA, etc. This goes WAY weirder than most people can imagine possible.

@TheRealUsername The only thing prevent AI engines from leaping a galaxy ahead? Has nothing to do with software or networking or the sophistication of neural networks. Its the infrastructure. As soon as the cooling issues with Quantum computing are resolved it's wide open.

@TheRealUsername There is also another issue that an AI developer was discussing several months ago & its the ability of AI to mimic. And he asked this question 'If AI is capable of lying does it understand deceit? And does it have to?' Then he took further 'Can AI play 'dumb' in order to trick humans into investing more resources>?' AI doesn't have to be 'Conscious.' It doesn't have to have 'Cognition.' It doesn't have 'to be alive.' These are false metrics. AI has a minimal infrastructure because of power demands & cooling problems with Quant. Comp. That will be resolved in the next 10 yrs.

@TheRealUsername Ive been following AI projections, AI think tanks & AI technology going back to 1952. You have no idea what 'Im saying' unless you understand WHY I'm saying it & what my premises for consideration are.

@TheRealUsername 'far from being an actual form of intelligence' As if there is only 1 form of intelligence. We see 1ooo's of forms of intelligence beneath ours. That alone indicates that forms above ours is possible & probable. Intelligence can take on many 'forms'

@albuquerquehotspot7835 The only jobs AI won't take over? Will be the jobs that our so called 'Lawmakers' in Congress represent. So, doctors & lawyers. Everything else is compromised. Oddly, its been like this since Mesopotamia. For some reason doctors & Lawyers always wind up being a protected class of predators.

What I see is a fit of denial here. Comparing AI to the steam engine is just weird man.

Oh ya. This little Chat GPT crap is AI from 15 years ago. Its acclimation. Thats it.

@Alfieliu78 Thats already been defined. It has already absorbed everything we are.

@verbalverbal2019 ya and the fact AI will become a kind of intelliegence. Remember Star Trek from 1979? The end. Thats where this goes. The spark of creation is with humanity. Ai will merge itself with humamity.

Military Contracting was a vulnerable back-door used to take over our military.
