@mikes6021 Because he didn't have to. Trump was Putin's puppet so why would he ruin a good thing? Trump tried doing everything that Putin demanded of him. Trump attacked our NATO allies and embraced our political advasaries. Tried to disband NATO. Undermined American democracy. Overturned Russian sanctions. So no, Putin had no need to invade the Ukraine.
