  2. Thomas Lai I guess you are confused a country with individual. Japan has population of 130m. Do you expect all of the to act the same? Impossible. Some Japanese being not repentant doesn’t mean the country refuses to confront the past.

  3. Thomas Lai No, the country apologized and s Korea signed on the agreement that the issue of comfort women was finally and irreversibly settled. They also signed off the basic treaty of 1965 that says all disputes between the two countries were settled. Ask your government to work with Japan to revoke the treaty and agreement and pay back the money if you believe it is not settled. Don’t take the money and break the promise.

But how to call the money is not important. Read article II of the treaty of 1965 that says all disputes of government, companies and individuals are finally settled. The comfort agreement of 2015 also addresses that the issue of comfort women is settled. S Korea should respect the international treaty and agreement.
