Different reasons usually it's because they feel alone though I think. I've tried before and that's pretty much my reason, I feel like I have no one at all. Plus stress from the outside world gets me and lots of other people down. It's not something every one will experience, but I'm pretty sure most people do. If not then drugs wouldn't be as popular as they are, sure do wish weed was legal haha.
