  2. daylightmoon7285 I am an American with significant German ancestry and I have been fascinated for years by the Aussiedler and ostsiedlung. Otto Pohl is a great source. I keep track of how many Germans resettle every month back to the homeland. Somehow Germans that still remain in the former USSR have a much higher birthrate than the rest of Europeans. It’s like they are more Germans than Germany. I love it.

  4. If you read the document they were invited not to integrate but to stay German and do what Germans do best. All the settlers in Eastern Europe were invited to stay German and build cities.
