So true, and is similar, instead of telling story, or art, is check boxes, in western ovies and cartoons, is pandering to twater and focus groups and, targeting the lowest common denominator, in order to get money, in anime and manga, is looking for the otaku crowd, pandering none stop and these is coming from someone that loves anime and i think anime is becoming repetitive, and is always the same themes and then when they try to change they are unable, in western movies and comics, is producing for the lowest common denominator, and in japanese manga and anime, is produce for the otaku to the otaku

Because we no longer have costumers, guest, we have consumers, that like that guy said, dont question product, just shut up and consume product and be happy for new product, and worst, the worst, is that the lowest common denominator consumers, consume whatever is put in theyre plate, no matter how bad it is

@CourageousCourier1701 Ok no problem, first you have to understand that otaku, in Japan, is consider a bad thing, what it means for them is a person that never leaves its home, and doesnt interact with anyone, for Hayao Miyazaki and the great fathers of anime, anime was like a form of art, tell a story wiouth the boundries of actors or reality, but always a story, as anime becomes mainstream and it stop being made by small studios or visionares it become corporate, suits, and well they stop seen anime as art, but as money, printing, and they start hiring otakus because well these is mi opinion, check boxes, some ways to see how anime is now pandering, for me the first red flag is the main protagonist, since the mid to ends of the 90s, when Evangelion, appear, Shinghi Igary is totaly bland a blank slate, and since then male protagonist are like that, blanck slats and totaly obliviius to females, or the opposite total perverts and dumb, why because projection, so the audience project to that, before Evangelion yes, there were like that, but never these prevalent, why because otaku want that insert themself, another example, fanservice was common and part of anime, but never to these levels, and put in ways that are detach to the story i have watch old 80s and 90s hentais that have less fanservice and much better quality than modern anime, not to mention proportion, now you have females with breasts so big is disgusting like cows or moe that is a way to said cute, or lolitas, small girls that they can put are older but are so small and young they look like twelve years old, that in anime before the 90s there are some but never these prevalent, or OP main characters, in anime yes there were op protagnosit but now is prevalent near always, is to pander why, to sell, so they put otakus that copy theyre favorite anime, but because they live inside, they do not interact wiith people, they copy anime and you have anime that is copy of an anime, characters that dont feel real or oyu feel you see over and over again, in conclusion, when you see, op protagonist, that are dumps, orpervert characters that are pervert for the sake to the point of being consider stokers, female with breasts so oversice they are like cows, fanservice that feel totaly out of place, female characters, that are only following tropes, like these is the thsundere, these is the kundere, these is the smart shy girl, these is the tomboy, the main protagonist so op is beyond dumb that the universe bend to him, you know, that is pandering to otaku

@CourageousCourier1701 Hello, sorry to answer now, there was a problem here, well returning to what i said, you know, you are rigth, yes, Moe and fanservice, exised in anime, since long time ago, but what i mean is how is used, for example the movie of Chihiro she is a child, and act as such, confuse and in what i little isee i didnt see the movie, she is a child, in modern moe and lolita, these girls, that remember not everyone, and not always,, they act as adults and are sexualized, they put they are adults when is clear they are made to be sexualized, by otaku predominant, , as for fanservice, i again admit was always there, and in Faye in cowboy bebop a femme fatale is common, and has to be sexualized, but in fanservice tropes, what do i mean, is now that fanservice is so over use, and to a point well, take illitousen and fanservice is the serie, and as you said there are a lot of normal series that have amaizing things that have good stuff, IGPX, they are generic but good done, also for example, in the travel of Nadia, yes there is a fanservice moment but was with sense she open her cleavege but for hiding her pet, in modern anime i dont know, in modern anime fanservice doesnt have any sense, also i admit is amaizing to see heroines that get in love but have common sense

@CourageousCourier1701 Sorry mi apologize, what i mean, is that, yes anime, has those troopes, from before, but now they are abusing.
For example Yes there was moe and fanservice, but like you mention the Chiziko movie, or sorry dont remember the name she was a children, acting as a children, in modern anime, i see more and more, lolita and moe, but they act more like adults, and sometimes in fanservice, sexualice way, also i see an abuse of the same tropes, and yes there is good slice of life and normal anime, but those animes, slice of life, mechas and others are disapearing, burry in isekai, and shonen, yes there are tropes that were before, but i see anime, becoming repetitive
